Vintage Soviet Model of a MiG 21

This stylised desktop model of the iconic MiG 21 Russian jet fighter is a stunning piece, beautifully finished in chrome and mounted on a solid wood base. At 33 cm long it's the perfect size for your desk or bar, and is so striking visually that it is less model aircraft and more Art Deco objet d'art.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MIG 21 first flew in 1956 and later earned the nickname 'Balalaika' owing to its superficial resemblance to the popular Russian stringed instrument of the same name.

This model was obtained from a film set designer who originally sourced it in Yugoslavia.
